Time gets away, don't you find: it escapes us.

We chase the moments, try to hold onto them. Life now demands we jam so much in, the space for stepping back and taking it in is hard to pin down.

We've phones full of  images from our experiences that show we must be holding on to time, right? How often do we get to be in those moments or are we instead watching it happening? Moments from the outside; our  own spectators.

I want you to step back inside, to be in the real, to give back to you the life you're living.

LIFE UNFILTERED

A Day For George

Remember digging in shoe boxes stacked with shiny Kodak prints or flipping cardboard pages with pics stuck like bumps under the glossy wrap, the tacky feel of prints packed in little envelopes fresh from the camera shop.

Remember the life they showed . . .

Lazy picnics at the beach, backyard water fighting, breakfast table antics, nappy clad tackers mucking around, Nana's birthday celebrations, Christmas cracker crowns and over-fed faces . . .

. . . when joy was in the real; real memories out of real life.

Life as it is.

Your life is beauty.

The simplest things, shared with the people we love, are some of the greatest beauty. Experienced together. This is the most of our lives. The small moments. Add them all together and the meaning in things is there.

These moments/this moment, on this day, a day in your life.

Captured with intention, framed to evoke, documented expressively. The lived things that make the landscape of your family life. And a chance to see them again, and again, across the years.

Love in the quiet times. In the crazy everyday. This life. Life wild.

HOW I SPEND THE DAY WITH YOU

So, this is a day in your life, right? But it could get pretty awky having some bloke hanging around non-stop for many, many hours . . . that's why I don't do it quite like that. I shape my coverage so that I dip in to your life in short 1-1.5 hour stints that coincide with those times that reflect both the crazy action and the quiet intimacy in your family's day-to-day.

I'm not going to rock up without having come round to yours and spent some time having a yarn and given the kids a chance to meet this fella who'll be hanging out with them come the day of your shoot. I want your family to be properly comfortable with me stepping into your lives. There's a balance to be found, in how much I'm a part of things, and how much I look for the camouflage that let's life unfold around me as I witness it with my camera and lens. We'll figure out the when and how and what it is that will best describe your family in its life moments.

So, in terms of time, if I were to cover 12 hours of your day, the actual time I would spend photographing your family would be around half of that, 6 hours. This equation works the same way for a half day's coverage.

PRICE + VALUE

So, what's the deal when you take me on as your family's memory preservationist? The first thing to mentions is that I offer two lengths of coverage: a full day of up to 14 HOURS and a half day of 7 HOURS.
